Karsea Langlois is the Principal Architect of Insight Design Studio, LLC.
InSight Design Studio is a Healthcare Architecture firm, specializing in space planning, programming and small-works projects. To say that healthcare facilities are facing tough budgetary challenges would be an understatement. These constraints call for an efficient approach to planning and design. From my experience, I've found that by utilizing a hospital's knowledgeable plant ops and facilities management personnel, and by consulting with contractors and engineers who have a history with the facility, we can work together to minimize consulting fees and keep project budgets well within budget. As the Principal Architect of InSight Design Studio, I am the point of contact for each project, handling all aspects of the design process. It is this continuity of involvement that leads to trusted ongoing relationships with each client. I encourage clients to call me with design and code questions for projects during the initial planning phases, and throughout the project. As a wise colleague (David Olson) once told me: "Since so much of the purpose and joy of life revolves around how we relate to other people and the impact we have on them and their lives, I figure I should not squander the opportunities to inform, encourage, and inspire." My goal is to become a resource to each client, sharing the knowledge I've acquired during my 16 years in healthcare design. I pride myself in finding creative and efficient design solutions.
